NOTICE TO BIDDERS
<br />Notice is hereby given that the City of South Bend, Indiana, Department of Public Works will receive sealed bids at
<br />the Office of the Board of Public Works, County -City Building Room 1316, 227 West Jefferson Street, South Bend,
<br />Indiana, 46601 until the hour of 9:30 a.m. Local Time, on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 for the following:
<br />Farmington Lift Station 14A Rehabilitation
<br />Project No.117-027
<br />Work to be performed shall include furnishing all labor, services, materials, insurance and equipment for work on the
<br />Farmington Lift Station 14A Rehabilitation Project. The works consists of demolishing portions of the existing lift station,
<br />installing a prefabricated valve vault module, submersible pumps, guide rails, valves, pressure pipe, electrical cabinet,
<br />telemetry pole with radio equipment, driveway and pavement restoration on Woodhurst Road in the Farmington Square
<br />Subdivision. The project also includes all related work including excavation, bypass pumping, restoration, and utility
<br />coordination. Work described above are detailed in the Contract Drawings and Specifications, also referred to as the
<br />Contract Document, prepared by DLZ Indiana LLC, phone (574) 236-4400.
<br />The Contract Documents are on file and available for public inspection commencing on the first advertise date during
<br />regular working hours at the Department of Public Works (1316 County -City Building, South Bend, Indiana), and at
<br />MACIAF 3215-A Sugar Maple Court, South Bend, IN 46628. Additionally, the Contract Documents will be available
<br />that same day for inspection or purchase at American Reprographics Company ("ARC", located at 1303 Northside
<br />Blvd., South Bend, Indiana, 46615), http://www.e-arc.com, (574) 287-2944, toll free at (800) 783-7231. There will be
<br />a non-refundable charge of the cost for reproduction as set by ARC for every set of documents for all bidders.
<br />Bids must be on the City of South Bend Contractor's Bid for Public Work, accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid
<br />Bond in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid plus add alternates, in a sealed envelope noting
<br />the project name, number and your company's information on the front.
<br />Each bidder or contractor (hereinafter the contractor) must comply "City of South Bend EEO Contracting Provision
<br />Diversity Utilization" included in the specifications as to each construction trade it intends to use on this construction
<br />contract and all other construction work (both federal and non-federal) in the St. Joseph County area during the
<br />performance of this contract or subcontract. The contractor commits itself to the goals for minority manpower and
<br />all other requirements, terms and conditions of these bid conditions by submitting a properly sealed bid.
<br />Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) and Woman and Minority -Owned Business Enterprises (W/MBE) are
<br />encouraged to respond to this notification.
<br />A Non -Mandatory Pre -Bid Conference will be held on Tuesday._ October 25 2017 at 10:00a.m. in the Headworks
<br />Classroom at the City of South Bend Wastewater Treatment Plant, 3113 Riverside Drive, South Bend, Indiana 46628.
<br />The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept a full or partial award of the bid or bids which, in
<br />its judgment, will be to the best interests of the City of South Bend.
