Holder -man 8.00 � <br />TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT: The Traffic Engineer informed the`Board that he was in need of <br />traffic signals and equipment and a one ton pick up(.truck and the Clerk of the Board <br />was directed to advertise for same with bids to be returnable on March 15, 1948. <br />ENGINEERING'DEPARTMENT: A petition to vacate two alleys, South of Western Avenue from <br />the, East line.of Carroll Street to the %Test line of the North and South alley and from <br />the ?Hest line.of Columbia Street to the East line of the North and South alley, was <br />referred to the City Plan Commission for investigation and report. <br />This -being the - date set for---ahearing on -the contract for The Studebaker Corporation( <br />to run a spur railroad across Chippewa Avenue parallel with the existing tracks said <br />hearing was held. No remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrances were filed withIl <br />the Clerk of the Board, and the°Board, therefore= being fully advised in the premises <br />approved the contract with Studebaker Corperation and directed that it be send to the <br />Common Council. <br />A petition was received asking for the privilege of removing the curbing abutting <br />on North Hill Street at 401-409 North Hill Street. This was -referred to the City Enginee <br />for investigation and report. ° <br />The Board approved sewer extensions on Dubaill Dayton and Randolph Streets submitted <br />by The Whitcomb and Keller Company, <br />EPART14ENT: Mr. M. 0.
