<br />The Board approved plans for remodelincr a store front at 801-803 South Idichigan
<br />for Carl Verhostra, Contractor, which plans included a 23 inch canopy extending over
<br />the city streets.

<br />Special Meeting October 2, 1947
<br />A special meeting of the Board of Public ".,orks was held on Thursday,October 2,
<br />1947 at 2:30 P.1, I:ir. Montgomery was absent.
<br />The meeting was called for the purpose of discussing matters pertaining to
<br />the Street and Traffic Departments.
<br />.After reviewing the bids for the sale of the street car rails removed from the
<br />City Streets it was the decision of the Board to accept the bid of the Hurwich Iron
<br />Company for the rails, their bid being; the highest submitted.
<br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was ad-
<br />journed at 3:30 P.T.
