Err -ions, <br />A letter was received from the City Plan Commission indicating that they, <br />approve the vacation of the alley in the rear of lots 57, 58, and 59 in Augustine's <br />Addition to the City of South Bend, The City Engineer was directed to prepare a <br />resolution for same. <br />A petition was received asking for the vacation of the first alley South of <br />• �� South Street from Michigan Street to the first alley East of 1dichigan Street. <br />This was referred to the City Plan Commission for investigation and report. <br />i <br />The Board approved plans for sanitary sewers proposed for Kentucky Street <br />!;from Vestern Avenue to Ford Street submitted by the Colpaert Realty Corporation. <br />The Board approved specifications and plans for the Bowman Creek Calvert <br />from Broadway to Pennsylvania. <br />STREET DEPARU NT: fir. Casimer Balka, Street Commissioner, was present and <br />matters pertaining to his department were discussed. <br />• j� !VIrs. H. J. Noel, spokesman for a group of interested property owners, who <br />jwere present at the meeting, asked for the repair of Bonds Avenue, Green Street <br />11 and Goodland Avenue to Bendix Drive. The City Engineer and. the Street Comr.2issioner <br />;twill make an investigation of conditions. <br />The Young Veterans Club asked permission to close Brookfield Street from <br />Washington Street to --the first alley North on Saturday, September 13, from noon <br />till 11:30 P.?i. Hahn of the Northern Indiana <br />I� Transit Company, came before the Board to petition the permission of the Board <br />li to extend the Ford Street line from its present terminus in Belleville, over the <br />j following route for a trial period of 60 days, beginning September 27, 1947, <br />as follows: From Belleville terminus over Sample Street to 1=ayflower Road; over <br />Mayflower Road to Laurence Street; over Laurence Street duo Berry Street; over <br />I Berry Street to Ardmore Trail; over Ardmore Trail to Moss Road in Ardmore, re- <br />turning over the same route. The rate of fare to be fifteen (15) cents cash or <br />one token plus one nickel with free transfer privilege to other citir lines in <br />South Bend.
