S.'Andrysiak, City Engineer, filed primary assessment roll showing <br />the awards of damages and the assessmentsof benefits in the mat per of the vacation <br />of t};e alley South of Ford Street from Carlisle Street to the east line of the Nortq <br />and south alley and from the 101est line of the North and South alley ,Pest to Phil- <br />ipa Street under vacation resolution No. 2556., <br />,In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that it will meet <br />in the City Hall at ,ll:00 A.M., on the ^21st day of July, 1947 for the purpose of <br />hearing and receiving remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected <br />by said vacation, aryl. the Board further orders that notice of said hearing together <br />with the amount of damages awarded and benefits assessed be addressed to the pro-, <br />perty owners by publishing some on the 3rd day of July and on the llth day of July, <br />1947 in the South Bend Daily Tribune and the 'Ieekly I:Zirror. <br />The Board approved plans for the installation of underground conduits and man- <br />holes. on Lafayette Boulevard, Main and Bronson Streets for the Indiana and Michigan <br />Electric Company. <br />DEDICATION <br />1WIEREAS: A plat with dedication of streets and alleys indicated thereon, is <br />now presented to the Board, to be known as "E4ison Park" an addition to the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana; <br />This plat and dedication is filed in the records of the Board of Public "forks <br />and Safety in Row -21, Drawer n4 and recorded in Book Pages r , in <br />the Reccr dents office in St. Joseph County; <br />NOI. THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Public forks and Safety of <br />South Bend, Indiana that all public streets, alleys and public places dedicated to <br />the public use in said Plat, are hereby accepted and approved by said Board for and <br />on behalfof the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />STR=T DEPARTI:IENT: Mr. Casimer Balka, Street Commissioner, was present and matters <br />per.alning o His department were discussed. <br />Mr. Balka informed the Board that he was in need of a heavy duty grader and <br />the Board. directed I',Ir. Andrysiak to draw up specifications for same and directed <br />the clerk to advertise for one heavy duty grader, bids to be returnable to the <br />Board of Public '=forks and S df ety on July 21, 1947. <br />This being the date set for receiving bids for a building for the Street <br />Department, the following bids were opened and publicly read: <br />Thomas L.
