310 <br />Reverend C. ffitucki, of St. Casimerts Parish:,, came before the Board to ask <br />permission to close Fisher Street for carnival purposes from July lst to July 8th <br />inclusive. Also to close 'Nebster Street during the evenings so it could be used for <br />pedestrian traffic only. The Board granted permission to close a part of'Fisher Street <br />during the day and evening and Viebster Street during the evening only. <br />Representatives of the F & S Transit Company, Norwalk Trucking Company and Shippers <br />Dispatch came before the Board to discuss the truck access routes. The matter was re- <br />f erred ,to Mr. miller for investigation. , <br />DOG POUND: The clerk of the Board was directed to advertise for a one-half ton <br />pc up truck for the Dog Pound, bids to be returnable on July 7, 1947. <br />ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: A petition was received with 18 signers asking for the con <br />s ruc lop o a pavement on Sibley Street from ,wilbur Street to College Street. This <br />was referred to the Engineering Department. <br />Contractorts bonds were approved and ordered filed for Thomas J. Bucz;jn.ski, <br />Clarence P. Coleman, Millard I. Hartman and Carl Sousley. <br />y d <br />The Leslie Colvin Construction Company asked permission to extend their partial <br />ocdiapancy of Main and Wayne Streets while the building is being built for the Indiana <br />Bell Telephone Company to August 15, 1947. The Board granted their request. <br />STREET DEPARTMENT: Mr. Casimer Balka, Street Commissioner, was present and matters <br />per aining to His department were discussed. <br />CEMETERY DEPARTMaTT: Mr. Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, was present and matters per- <br />Ca�ining`Eo rigs epa tment were discussed. <br />The:Clerk-of-the.Board was directed to.advertise for a pre -fabricated building <br />for storage purposes for the Cemetery Department.
