<br />at 8:30 A.M. All members vrere present. Minutes o,;: the last meeting were read and
<br />approved. There were no claims of suppliers to be approved.
<br />TRAFIC DEPARTMENT: Mr. Ernest I;iiller, Traf'ic. Engineer,^ras present and matters
<br />per aining o his department were discussed.
<br />Mr. Miller was granted permission to attend a meeting; of the Midwest Safety
<br />Conference in Chicago, on TIay 6 and 7th. Mr. Steve Ivancovics was granter per-
<br />mission to attend the meeting on May 7th.
<br />The Board approved the plat of the J. Kuharic Addition to the City of South
<br />Bend.
<br />TA1HT-'CAPS : A betition was received from the Te terans cab Company asking for one
<br />more cab stand providing for at least -two and possibly three cabs. This was re-
<br />ferred to Mr. Miller for investigation.

<br />A letter was received i rom the O t Brien Varnish Company asking permission to close
<br />North O'Brien Street f ror� the Corner of ':Iashington Street for a distance of 100 yards
<br />while an addition to their building is being constructed. The Board discussed the
<br />matter znrith Tyr. John McCarthy, who was present, and decided, to close the street except
<br />for enough room for one lirie of traffic. lair. 1i'Lller was directed to make an i nvesti -
<br />gation and contact the residents of the street affected to find out if this was satis-
<br />factory.
