264 August 5, 1946 A_regular meeting of the Board of Public .Torks was held on Monday, August 5, 1946 at 8:30 A.M. All members were present. Minutds of the last meeting were read and approved. ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: Contractor's bonds were approved and ordered filed for E. F. Cramer Construction Engineers and Stephen G. Boeskey. An Excavation bond was approved and ordered filed for the Riggs Plumbing and Heating Company. A letter, dated August 2, 1946 was received from the City Plan Commission, indicating that they approve the vacation of the alley North of Vassar Avenue from 1.7ilber Street to College Street. VACATION RESOLUTTON No. 2550 RESOLVED BY = BOARD OF PUBLIC ':`IORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, I N D IANA: Thgt it is desirable to vacate the following: The alley North of Vassar Avenue between -'Jilber Street and College Street excepting the North and South cross alleys. The following property may be injuriously or beneficially effected by such vacation: Lots numbered 1 to 40 inclusive C. P. Smith's 1st Subdivision AITID Lots numbered 1-2-3-8-9-10-11-12-13-18-19-20 in Pleasant View 2nd Addition. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 9th day of August and on the 16th day of August, 1946 in the South Bend Daily -,Tribune and the Weekly mirror. This Board, at its office in the City Hall on the 26th day, of August, 1946 at 11:00 A.T1. will hear and receive remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected by these. proceedings.
