<br />The Board approved the plans for a 15,000 gallon storage TO BE stored in 5 tanks,
<br />located at the South East corner of "Elder and I_i chigan Streets for the Central :'lest
<br />Oil Company.', This approval was granted on an appeal to the Board from the Building
<br />Commissioner �ecause of a variance between the local code and the State Eire I;�arshallt s
<br />requirements. The following letter was sent to the Building Corrmlissioner:

<br />Ialarch 18, 1946, considered the matter of appeal of the Central West Oil Corporation.
<br />This company, in accordance with the provisions of the building, code,
<br />appealed to the Board of Public ":corks and Safety,, for permission to install under-
<br />ground storage tanks, having a capacity greater than that allowed by the code, but in
<br />accordance with the regulations of the State Fire marshallts Office.

<br />The under -ground storage tanks under consideration, are to be located
<br />at the southeast corner of I4_ichigan and Elder Streets, and the plans, wherein they apply,
<br />have been approved by the Fire iIarshall's Office.
<br />The Board of Public "`?orks and Safety,, after due consideration of the
<br />appeal, hereby grants said appeal, and the Clerk is instructed to notify the 'building
<br />Commissioner accordingly.
