January 28, 1946 <br />237 <br />• <br />• <br />0 <br />40 <br />• <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public 10Iorks was held on Monday, January 28, <br />1946,at 8:30 A.M. All members �rere present. Minutes - of the last meeting were ap- <br />proved and ordered paid. Salary claims in the amount of $8,211.50 were approved, <br />and ordered paid. There were no claims of suppliers to be approved. <br />TRAFFIC DEPARTTHEzIT: Mr. Ernest Miller:, Traffic Engineer, was present and matters <br />pertaining to His epartment were discussed. <br />ENGINEERING DEPAR rENTENT: All bids for the Fellows Street sewer and pavement under <br />improvement resolution No. 2536 were rejected and the bidderts bonds and certified <br />checks which accompanied the bids were ordered returned to the bidders. <br />Excavation bonds were approved for Hawblitzel & Son, Joseph Hiznay and C. S. <br />Randolph. These were ordered filed. <br />STREET DEPA�`Iis�ENT: Mr. Casimer Balka, Street Commissioner, was present and matters <br />pertaining to his department were discussed. <br />CEHETERY.DEPARTMENT: Yr. Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, was present and matters per <br />ainzng to his apartment were discussed. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was ad- <br />Journed at 11:10 <br />February 4, 1946 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public '::corks was held on Monday, .February 4, <br />1946 at 8:30 A.TVi. All Members were present. TIinutes of the last meeting were read <br />ii and approved. There were no claims of suppliersto be ;paid. <br />TRAFFIC DEPARTT:IENT: Mr. Ernest Miller, Traffic Engineer, was present and matters <br />perta ink to7iis department were discussed. <br />ENGINE:-MING DEPARTMENT: The bid of the Niles Excavating Company having been accepted <br />Jsubject to collecting the total amount in cash within 60 days, for local sewers on <br />!Fisher Street from Kaley to Idleade, Arnold Street between Donald and Ewing, Donald <br />Street from Donald to Oliver, Douglas Street between Donald and Ewing and Donald <br />Street from Kemble to Douglas, .Oliver Street from Donald to' Ewing' and Donald Street <br />lfrom. Oliver to Dou-las.under Improvement Resolutions Nos. 2540, 2541, 2542, and <br />„2543, and the money for the above improvements not having been paid into the Con- <br />trolled s office within the said 60 days, the bid of the Tiles Excavating Com- <br />pargy is now rejected. <br />STREET i7EPARTiENT: 1,1r. TIinutes of the last meeting were read <br />;and approved. Salary claims in the amount of 08,049.25 were approved and ordered <br />paid.
