The Clerk. of the <br />Board having shoun sufficient proofs of publication and no remonstrators having <br />appeared and no written rerionstrances having been filed with the Clerk, it was <br />moved, seconded, and unanimously carried that the said resolution be finally <br />adopted and the' said alley be.vacated. The Engineering department is directed to <br />prepare an assessment roll covering the assessments of benefits and the awards of <br />damages to the surrounding properties. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, <br />jDarned at 10:00 A <br />January 7, 1946 <br />the Meeting was ad - <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public ':forks was held on i,ionday, January 7, <br />1946 at 8:30 A.I!. All members were present. Minutes of the last meeting were read <br />and approved. There were no claims to be approved. <br />TRAFFIC DEPART11ENT: Mr. Ernest I=filler, Traffic Engineer, was present and matters <br />pertaining to his department were discussed. <br />BUS ROUTES: The Board of 'r'lorks, in order to serve the people of Sunnymede, author- <br />ized the _1�orthern Indiana Transit Company to route their additionai bus on the Mish- <br />awaka -North Side route East on Jefferson Boulevard to Eddy Street; South on Eddy <br />Street to -layne Street; East on ',Mayne Street to Twyckenham Drive and South on l uvy- <br />ckenham. Drive to 1-Iishawaka Avenue. In this fray they will give greater service to <br />the residents of the Sunnymede district. <br />A delegation of the Beacon Heights Housing project residents appeared before <br />the Board to ask for additional bus service in their subdivision on Langly Avenue. <br />This was referred to the Northern Indiana Transit Company. <br />STREET DEPARTMENT: Nr. Casimer Balka, Street Corraissioner, was present and matters <br />pertaining to his department were discussed. <br />CEIVIET RY DEPE, TIMIE1IT: 1«r. Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, was present and matters per- <br />taining to his apartment were discussed. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjoir <br />ned at 11:00 A.M. <br />
