IThe Clerk of the <br />Board having shovrn sufficient proofs of publication and no remonstrators having <br />appeared and no written remonstrances having been filed with the Clerk, it was <br />moved, seconded, and unanimously carried that the said resolution be finally <br />adopted and the* said alley be vacated. The Engineering Department is directed to <br />prepare an assessment roll covering the assessments of benefits and the awards of <br />damages to the surrounding properties. <br />There no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was ad- <br />beingj ourned at 10 : 00 A.Y. <br />January 7, 1946 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public ."forks was held on T«onday, January 7, <br />1946 at 8:30 A.T;i. All members were present. Minutes of the last meeting were read <br />and approved. There were no claims to be approved. <br />,'RAFFIC DEPARTr.`EN`^: 1V11r. Ernest Tiiller, Traffic. Engineer, was present and matters <br />pertaining to his department were discussed. <br />BUS ROUTES: The Board of '-forks, in order to serve the people of Surnymede, author- <br />ized the i orthern Indiana Transit Corripany to route their additional bus on the 11ish- <br />awaka-North Side route East on Jefferson Boulevard to Eddy Street; South on Eddy <br />Street to "layne Street; East on Layne Street to Tvgckenham Drive and South on 'I"Wy- <br />ckenham Drive to aishawaka Avenue. In this way they will give greater service to <br />the residents of the Sunnymede district. <br />A delegation of the Beacon Heights Housing project residents appeared before <br />the Board to ask for additional bus service in their subdivision on Langly Avenue. <br />This was referred to the Northern Indiana Transit Company. <br />STREET DEPARTMENT: fir. Casimer Balka, Street Co=aissioner, was present and matters <br />pertaining to his department were discussed. <br />C: IVIETERY DEP-2i,1ENT: 11r.
