The feasibility of making one way streets out
of wayne where it is intersected by a parkway was also discussed. Mr. Levy indicated
that East Jefferson east of Eddy Street could not be used as a bus route without direct
• l action by the Council. Mr. Miller, the traffic Engineer, pointed out that Sunnym.ede
iAvenue is widely used for parking cars during football games and other affairs at the
IIschool field and routing buses on it would create a definite traffic. hazard. The letter states in part," ...selecting Thursday, December
113 and Friday, December 14, for the passeno-er check, During this time we found that on
two trips in the of tornoon of the 14th, eight passengers were left standing at curb
by one bus and seven passengers were left by another bus. Thursday and Ti'riday are our
heaviest days of the vreek, and for that reason ire selected these two days. We 6re
• Iattemptino, to divide our equipment on as nearly an equal basis as posal.ble during the
heavy holiday traffic, and every tiM1reek day every available bus is being operated.
