Ernest i4iller, Traffic Engineer, was present and matters per- <br />taining to his department were discussed. <br />Mr. Miller was granted permission by the Board, to go to LaFayette, Indiana on <br />May 24, 1945 in connection with the installation of the new traffic signal system. <br />Mr. Miller discussed with the Board the advisability of using the upstairs rooms <br />of the number two Fire Station for the Traffic Survey, but after discussion it was <br />agreed that the rooms were not suitable. <br />ENGINEERING DEPARTMIENT: Contractor's bonds in the amount of $1,000.00 each were approve( <br />for Walter W . Smith and Harry N. Barnes. These were ordered filed. <br />CEMETERY <br />3X= DEPAiTMENT: Mr. Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, was present and matters pertaining <br />to his department were discussed. <br />STREET DEPARTMENT: Tar. Anthony Zmudzinski, Street Commissioner, was present and matters <br />pertaining to his department were discussed. <br />It was the decision of the Board to accept the bid of Kor to Brothers, of Fort Wayne; <br />Indiana for One Austin-4estern Patrol Sweeper and One Austin-lUestern Grader, their bid <br />being, in the opinion of the Board, the lowest and best. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned <br />at 10:00 A.M. /I <br />May 28, 11945 <br />j� A regular meeting of the Board of Public ':forks was held on Monday, 1,,4ay 28, 1945 at <br />9:004A.M.
