200 <br />April 30, 1945 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held on Monday, April 30, 1945 <br />at 9:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the last meeting were read and <br />approved. Salary claims in the amount of W,993,89 were approved and ordered paid. <br />Claims of the following suppliers in the amount of $7,945.61 were approved and ordered <br />paid: <br />R. C. Larkin Company $4,436.00 Standard Automotive Supply 1.54 <br />G. E. Meyer 2.92 Studebaker Corp. 13.38 <br />Municipal Supply Co. 31388.00 Studebaker Corp. 44.81 <br />The Ohio Oil Company 58.96 <br />TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT: Mr. Ernest IMiller, Traffic Engineer, was present and matters per- <br />taining to his department were discussed. <br />ij ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: A Contractor's bond was approved for the Hatfield Electric <br />Company and an Excavation bond in the amount of $1,000.00 was approved for Robert C. <br />Hamilton. These were ordered filed. <br />11 STREET DEPARTMENT: Mr. Anthony Zmudzinski., Street Commissioner, was present and matters <br />di pertaining to his department were discussed. <br />Mr. Zmudzinski submitted plans and specii'ications for a grader and a street sweeper <br />which were approved by the Board. They directed the Clerk of the Board to advertise <br />for bids on same to be received up to 11:00 A.M. on May 14, 1945. <br />011METERY DEPARTMENT: Mr. Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, was present and matters perta <br />to his department were discussed. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, <br />at 10)00 A.M. <br />May 7, 1945 <br />the meeting was adjourned <br />A regular meeting of the. He presented his report for the month of April, 1945. <br />Bills were presented by Ben H. Drollinger, Richard A. 1duessel and Roy J. Michael for <br />services rendered in making appraisals and court appearances in the suit of Whitcomb & <br />Keller, Inc., against the City of South Bend on appeal from the Boardts assessments in <br />Resolution No. 2525.
