• <br />•s <br />January 2, 1945 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held on Tuesday, January 2, 19 <br />at 9:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the last meeting were read and <br />approved. There were no claims to be approved. <br />The bid for fleet insurance for Public Liability and Property Damage,of the <br />Lloyd Insurance Agency in the amount of $411.78, was accepted as being the lowest bid. <br />li TRAFFIC DEPARTlY{NT: Mr. Ernest Miller, Traffic Engineer, was present and matters perta <br />li ing to :his department were discussed. <br />ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: An excavation bond in the amount of 5 1, 000.00 was approved for <br />Harry I icodemus and was ordered filed. <br />CE1,JETER'Y DEPARTMENT: IIr. Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, was present and matters pertain- <br />ing to his department were discussed. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board the meeting was adjourned <br />10:00 A.M. <br />January 8, 1945 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public ;'forks was held <br />on Monday, <br />January 8, 1945 <br />at 9:00 A.M. H. Stuhmer, William lliam H. Burke and ;William L. `lurnock. These were ordered filed. <br />DEDICATION <br />This plat and dedication recorded in Book #084 Pages 394-95 in the Recorder's Office. ii <br />"REAS:A. play nd .cat ng._ the dedication of a 301, strip off the East side of Websterj <br />,Street between Bruce Street and Donald Street and a 25' strip off the :North side of <br />Donald Street between Xemble Avenue and <Uebster, Street to :be used as a public way , <br />is presented to the Board by the Housing Authority of'he Oity of South amend, Indiana; <br />NOW TFIEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Public 1,17orks and Safety of the <br />City of South Bend, that these strips of land dedicated to the public use are hereby <br />approved and accepted by the said Board for, and on behalf, of the City of South Bend. <br />I The City Plan Commission having; approved the vacation of Oswald Court and the alle <br />running South from. Oswald Court and the vacation of the East part of the alley or <br />Court known as Alexis Court, the Engineer was directed to prepare a vacation resolution <br />for same. <br />The Public hearing on Vacation Resolution No. 253a, the vacation of the alley <br />west of Hill Street was continued until the 15th day of January, 1945. <br />CEMETERY DEPARTMENT: Ikr.
