rwq-kvm <br />061 <br />f <br />January 2, 1945 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held on Tuesday, January 2, 1944 <br />at 9:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the last mee'ting were read and. <br />approved. There were no claims to be approved. <br />The bid for fleet insurance for Public Liability and Property Damage,of the <br />Lloyd Insurance Agency in the amount of $411.78, was accepted as being the lowest bid. <br />TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT: Mr. Ernest Miller, Traffic Engineer, was present and matters perta <br />I� ing to his department were discussed. <br />ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: An excavation bond in the amount of 5�1,000.00 was approved for <br />Harry Ricodemus and was ordered filed. <br />CF.VIETERY DEPARTMENT: Mr. Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, was present and matters pertain- <br />ing to his department were discussed. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board the meeting was adjourned <br />10:00 A.M. <br />January 8, 1945 <br />A regular meeting of the Board <br />of Public <br />`Norks was held on Monday, January 8, 1945 <br />at 9:00 A.M, All members were present. <br />Minutes of the last meeting were <br />read and <br />approved. Claims of the following <br />suppliers <br />in the amount of <br />�540.91 were <br />approved <br />and ordered paid: <br />Indiana & Michigan Electric Co. <br />36.84 <br />B. J. :NlcCaffery, <br />Postmaster <br />30.06 <br />Indiana & :Michigan Electric Co. <br />179.98 <br />Nor. Ind. Transit <br />Company <br />25.00 <br />B. J. I,TuCaffery, Postmaster <br />15.03 <br />R. L. Polk Co. <br />234.00 <br />C. F. Balka (Trans.) <br />12.50 <br />Royal Typewriter <br />Co. <br />20.00 <br />TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT: Mr. Ernest IJiller, Traffic Engineer, was present and matters per- <br />taining to his department were discussed. <br />ENGINEERING :DEPARTI,IENT: Excavation bonds in the amount of $1000.00 each were filed <br />for A. H. Stuhmer, William H. Burke and 11illiam L. Turnock. These were ordered filed. <br />DEDICATION <br />This plat and dedication recorded in Boo—k--&784 Pages 394-95 in the Recorder's Office. <br />REAS:ALplat:-,indic4t ngc. the dedication of a 30 f . strip off the East side of Nebster <br />Street between Bruce Street and Donald Street and a 25' strip off the North side of <br />Donald Street between Ike- ble Avenue and NebsterStreet to.,be used as a public way r <br />is presented to the Board by the Housing Authority of the Lity of South amend, Indiana; <br />NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Public ;dorks and S5Lfety of the o it <br />City of South Bend, that these strips of land dedicated to the public use are hereby <br />approved and accepted by the said Board for, and on behalf, of the City of South Bend. <br />The City Plan Corimiission having; approved the vacation of Oswald Court and the alley! <br />running South from Oswald Court and the vacation of the East part of the alley or <br />Court known as Alexis Ccurt, the Engineer was directed to prepare a vacation resolution1! <br />for same. <br />1 <br />The Public hearing on Vacation Resolution No. 2530", the vacation of the alley <br />west of Hill Street was continued until the 15th day of January, 1945. <br />CEMETEPY DEPARTMENT: I,Ir.
