Association asking for a <br />change in the bus route,in that direction. This,was referred to the Traffic Engineer <br />for investigation and report. <br />This being the date set for receiving bids for the installation of part of the <br />traffic signal systems of down town South Bend, and only one bid having been received; <br />said bid was opened and read as fellows: <br />Dooly Electric Company, <br />626 West Jackson Blvd., <br />Total bid <br />$12,436.60 <br />Chicago, Illinois <br />This bid was referred to the Traffic Engineer for investigation and comparison <br />for a check of the individual items, and the award will be granted at a later meeting. <br />STREET DEPARTIrIENT: Mr. Anthony Zmudzinski, Street Commissioner, was present and matters{ <br />pertaining to his department were discussed. <br />i <br />Bids were received last week and shown in the minutes of the Board for a sweeper ' <br />of a type specified in specifications , and after consideting the bids received, the <br />Board determines to purchase one Guttersnipe Sweeper from the Municipal Supply Company <br />of South Bend at $3380.00, and one Payloader tractor shovel, from the Indiana Equipment <br />Company of Indianapolis, Indiana at 04436.00. <br />ENGINEERINCr DEPARTiSIENT : A Contractorts Bond in the amount of $1,000.00 was approved" <br />for Dewey Skeeters, and was ordered filed. <br />Excavator's bonds in the amount of�$11000.00 each were filed for Mitchel Kahn, <br />0-.'J. Shoemaker, Philip Cohn, Emil C, Spromberg, Louis $toll Company, Emmett Shaul, <br />Albert N Smith and Son and Hawblitzel Plumbing Company.
