V, 171 MEETING - SEPTEIMBER 5, 1944 A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held on Tuesday, September 5, .1944 at 9:00 A.M. All members were present.. Mr Michael Cummings having -been sworn in as the new City Controller was present at the meeting and sat as a member of the Board of Public ;Works. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. STREET DEPARTMENT: Mr. Anthony Zmudzinski, Street Commissioner, was present and matters pertaining to his department were discussed. M Mr. Zmudzinski informed the Board that he was in need of a bull dozer and the Clerk of the Board was directed to write to dealers for bids. ENGINEERING DEPARTIrENT: A petition was received asking that a portion of Donald Street j • from High Street to UaT Park 4th Addition be vacated. This was referred to the City I Plan Commission. • 0 A Contr=ctor's bond in the amount of �1,000.00 was approved for John C. VonBergen and Excavator's bonds in the amount of N5,000.00 were approved for the Northern Indiana Public Service Company and Niezgodski Brothers. These were ordered filed. CEMETERY DEPARTMENT., Mr. Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, was present at the meeting and matters pertaining to his department were discussed.
