166 <br />MEETING - JULY 24, 1944 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works <br />was held on Monday, July 24, <br />1944 at <br />9:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the last meeting were read and <br />approved <br />Salary claims in the amount of <br />$9,640.13 were approved <br />and ordered paid.. The new specifications were identical with the previous <br />specifications except in the following paragraphs: <br />"Bids may be submitted as follows: <br />1. A bid for the weekly collection and disposal of garbage during the Calendar <br />year of 1945. All collections to be made in metal, water tight boxes equipped <br />with covers. <br />1A. The amount in excess of the bid in Category 1, for the bi-weekly collection <br />and disposal of garbage during the months of July, August and September. Such <br />bi-weekly collection to be made only if sufficient man power is available <br />as determined by the Board. <br />Notice of bids to be advertised on July 21 and July 28, and bids are to be received <br />up to 10:00 A.M. (C.W.T.) August 7, 1944. <br />Condemnation Resolution No. 2525 <br />Remonstrances: The briefs and oral arguments made and filed in support thereof, consid- <br />ered by the Board, the Board being advised in the premises approved the roll of assement <br />of benefits and awards of damages as originally issued, but reserves the right to the <br />remonstrators to submit evidence on the amount of such damages or benefits on July 31, <br />1944 at 10:00 A.M.
