163 • • • • 17J • • Mr. Carlo Deahl, Attorney was present at the opening of the Indiana & Michigan Electric Company proposal, and Mr. Frank Palmer and Mr. Claude Nicley were present at the opening of the bids for the garbage contract. TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT: MPr. Ernest Miller, Traffic Engineer, was present and matters pertai ing.to his department were discussed. CEMETERY DEPARMIENT: Mr. Stanley Leszczynsk3, Sexton, was present and matters pertainin to hits department were discussed. There being no further business to come -before the Board the meeting was adjourned at 10:30 A.M. „ , AT ZEISTI V- Clerk SPECIAL MEETING - July 12, 1944 A .Special Meeting of the Board of Public'Works was held on Wednesday, July 12, 1944 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present as were Mayor Pavey, Mr. Frank Palmer and Mr. Claude Nicly. The meeting was called for the purpose of discussing the bids on the garbage contract. The Board discussed the proposals at some length, but withheld action on the decision until another special meeting which will be held within a few days. There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 11:30 A.M. --7 ti SPECIAL MEETING - JULY 13, 1944 A Special Meeting of the Board of Public 1*orks was held on Thursday, July 13, 1944 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. The meeting was called for the purpose of further consideration of the bids on the garbage contract. After a full and complete discussion it was determined that all bids would be rejected and the Board then ordered the City Attorney to prepare new specifications identical with the previous specifications except that bids would be asked for one collection per week during the year 1945, and as an alternate for two collections a week during the months of July,August and September of the said year.
