Under Indiana law, I.C. 36-4-7- <br /> 2(c),the Mayor's salary may not be reduced from the prior year's amount. This ordinance increases <br /> the Mayor's 2018 salary by 2% over his 2017 salary which is the same as the proposed increase <br /> for other non-bargaining employees. <br /> I will present this bill to the Common Council at the appropriate committee and council meetings. <br /> It is requested that this bill be filed for 1 st reading on September 25, 2017,with 2nd reading, public <br /> hearing and 3rd reading scheduled for October 9, 2017.
