143 <br />MEETING - FEBRUARY 14, 1944 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was,held on Monday, February 14, <br />1944 at 9:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the last meeting were <br />read <br />and approved. Moore reported that he had <br />reviewed <br />the proposed plan off' G.. R. Robertson <br />and <br />had made minor changes which were <br />approved <br />by Mr. Robertson. The Board accepted <br />and <br />approved the revised plan of repairing the <br />Jefferson Street Bridge. <br />Action taken by the Board of Public "11orks and Safety on the 7th day of February, <br />1944, indicating a hearing on the Assessment Roll in the matter of Vacation Resolution <br />No. 2526, is hereby declared null and void as having been taken on the wrong date. <br />This being the date set for hearing remonstrances on the assessment roll showing the <br />sward of damages and the assessment of benefits in the matter of vacation resolution <br />No. 2526, said hearing was held. <br />In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written re- <br />monstrances were filed, the Clerk of the Board submitted proofs of publication of <br />notices and same were found sufficient, and the Board, therefore, finds that the several <br />lots and parcels of land have been benefitted and damaged in the amounts shown on said <br />roll. The Board, therefore, decides to take action on said assessment roll, and declare <br />same in all things ratified, confirmed and'approv ed without modification and the pro- <br />ceedings closed and the alley vacated upon receipt of the amount of benefits assessed <br />from the various property owners so benefitted, and all proceedings had with reference <br />to said alley vacation are hereby sustained. <br />�) No further action was taken with regard to awarding the contract for the repair <br />of the Jefferson Street Bridge. <br />• TRAFFIC ENGINEER: Mr. Ernest 141iller, Traffic Engineer, was present and matters pertain- <br />ing,to his department were discussed. <br />CEMw TERM DEPARZTENT: Mr. Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, was present and matters pertainin <br />to his department were discussed. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned <br />II at 10:30 A.M. <br />A(5T ST. <br />• rk <br />Board of Publi s <br />ADDENDA: <br />Clyde Williams, City Engineer, filed final assessment roll in the matter of improve <br />i ment resolution No. 2524, known as the Duey Street Sewer.
