<br />ENGIi'd EKING DEPARI,`EXT: Official, notice was received of the approval of an appropriatio
<br />of Q6, 500.00 for the Fellows Street and Chippewa .venue paving, from the Indiana Board
<br />of Tax Commissioners. A certification that funds were appropriated for the City!s
<br />portion of the project, was made by the City Controller, for filing with the Federal
<br />.'3orks. Agency.

<br />This being the date set for the hearing on the resolution heretofore adopted by
<br />the Board, for the vacation of the alley North of 'adison Street from the East line of
<br />the first alley East of '11ichi:Van Street to the .Vest side of the vacated portion of
<br />North. St. Joseph Street, and the hearing 'paving been set for 10 :00 A.IA. on tale loth dayof January, 1944 and publication h:vinm been made in the =>outh I:end Tribune and the
<br />Mirror Press on the 17th day of December and tide 24t'_ da - of Decef,iber, 1943, and it
<br />being now 10:10 A.'111. on the loth da.y of Janu&1-7 and no Dne having appeared in opo,si do
<br />to said resolution, and no written remonstrances having been filed with the Clerk of
<br />the Board, it was _moved, seconded, and unani-�^ously. ca-=ried, that resolution 2526
<br />vacating said alley be finally adopted and said al._leT be vacated. The Engineering
<br />Department is directed to prepare an assess---m_ant rod_,_ covering the, benefits asses -zed,
<br />and award of damages to the surrounding property.

<br />Street crossinrn. It was reco L::ended that the two Railroads prepare applications for

<br />An excavation bond was approved for Thomas J. IvllacGrath and ordered filed.
