This was in accordance with an ordinance passed by the Common <br />Council and an appraisal properly made. <br />1,1r. Zmudzi nski informed the Board that he was in need of commercial Caicium. Chlori <br />for use on the City streets, and the Clerz. of the Board was authorized to advertise <br />for bids on same. <br />ENGINEERING DEPARTroIENT: A Contractor's Bond in the amount of 81,000.00 was approved for <br />Harry Nicode-.lus and was ordered filed. An e.-.-cavation bond was a-p.proved for Thilman <br />Brothers and was ordered filed. <br />Mr. Williams presented the following letter to the BoJrd: <br />December 23, 1943 <br />Dear 1;11r. Crur:packer <br />Consideration was given to the petition and remonstrances of a vacat on resolution <br />No. 2520, to vacate the alley North of Colf ax rvenue from Jacob Street to Twyckenham <br />Drive, and the vacation was denied. The balance of the advertising fund deposited <br />by the peitioner was returned. <br />An appraisal was submitted to t_le Board by the persons appointed to ayrrai se the <br />City owned gravel pit.
