134 <br />The Board of Public 0orks and Safety being fully advised in the premises and con- <br />sidering the aforementioned remonstrance and all other facts and matters relating to <br />these proceedings, did, then and there, enter the following order: It is ordered and <br />decreed that the properties described in Condemnation Resolution No. 2525, be, and the <br />same are hereby, appropriated for the use of the Lity of South Bend, Indiana; that the <br />Engineer of said City be directed. to prepare and file a list of the ol,wmers of the pro- <br />perty and interests affected by the said appropriation and that all necessary further <br />proceedings shall be taken. Entered this 6th day of December, 1943, bl" the Board of <br />Public 'dlorks and Safety. <br />After a general discussion of the condemnation of the 'Chippewa Avenue right of <br />way, East of Michigan Street, it was decided by the Board to direct that construction <br />should commence immediately so that the necessary grading might be accomplished in <br />the year 1943, and the route used by the Public prior to the completion cf the pavement <br />CEI,IETARY DEPArRrryENT: Mr. Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, was present and matters pertain- <br />ing to his department were discussed. <br />A.letter requesting that the City take over the Bowman Cemeter;T as a City maintain <br />ed C:en.e,tery was received and was taken under advisement. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourn <br />at 10:30 A.T,'I. <br />ATTEST: <br />n Clerk <br />Board 'of Publ -a0rks <br />I,IEETILIG - DECE51MER 13,, 1943 <br />T'_o.e Board of Public `Norksheld its regular meeting on Monday, December 13, 1943 <br />at 9:00 A.,+I. ,All members were present.
