126 MEETING-OCTOBER 25, 1243 ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: A petition was received for the construction of a local sewer on West Uolfax Avenue from the alley East of Birdsell Street to Adams Street. This was referred to the :engineering Department. TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT: Mr. Ernest Miller, Traffic Engineer, was present and several traffi problems were discussed. CEMETERY DEPART?d`ENT: Mr. Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, was present and matters pertain- ing to his department were discussed. Fund or the Interceptor Seaver Fund: ' Edgar ,Anderson ( Salary) 62.50 STREET DEPARTMENT: Mr. Anthony Zmudzinski, Street Commissioner, was present and matters pertaining to his department were.discussed. ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT Mr. O. D. Dausman, District Plant Engineer,.of the Indiana Bell Telephone Company, appeared,before the Board and submitted plans showing the proposed underground conduit and cable work on and South of East Jefferson Blvd., between St. Joseph Street and Hill Street. These plans were.approved by the Board and -were ordered placed on file. Mr. Williams directed a letter to the 'Telephone Company informing them of this approval. The.Board approved the plans and specifications for the construction of Access' Road Project on Chippewa Avenue from Michigan Street to the Southmore Housing Project. The Clerk of the Board was authorized to advertise for bids. Bids will be received up to 10=:00 A.14. November.8, 1943 and will then be opened and read. TRAFFIC ENGINEER: yMir. Ernest Miller, Traffic Engineer, was present and matters pertain ing to his department were discussed. Mr. Miller was authorized by the Board to attend a Traffic Signal School in Syracuse, New York for one week starting November 22, 1943. CEMETERY DEPARTMENT: Mr. Stanley Leszczynskiy Sextons presented his report for the month of October, 1943.
