Fund or the Interceptor <br />Sewer Fund: <br />Northern Indiana Transit Company 25.00 <br />STREET DEPARTMENT: Mr. Anthony Zmudzinski, Street Commissioner, was present and matters <br />pertaining to his department were discussed. <br />Mr. Williams reported that he had not completed his report of the information <br />requested by the Board on the Arnold Street railroad crossing. <br />ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: This being the date set, hearing was had on Imrpovement Resol- <br />ution No. 2524 for a local sewer on Duey Street from South Bend Avenue, north to the <br />North line of Hartman'and Millers Addition and Hartman and Woodworths Addition. <br />In the above named improvement resolution, no remonstrators appeared and no written <br />remonstrances were filed, and the Board being fully advised in the premises, finds that <br />the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said <br />improvement will be equal to the estimated cost of sane as reported by the City. Engineer <br />and that the improvement is necessary. The Board, therefore, decides to take final <br />action on said improvement resolution and declares same in all things ratified, con- <br />firmed and approved without modification. <br />The Board now orders that on the 8th day cf November, 1943 the Board will receive, <br />open and consider sealed proposals for the construction of said sewer up tq l0:00 A.M. <br />The.Board further orders that notice of said proposals shall be published on the 22 day <br />of October, and on the 29th day of October, 1943 in the South Bend Daily Tribune and <br />the Meekly Mirror, according to law. <br />A Contractors bond in the amount of $1,000.00 was approved for John Tamen. This <br />wag' .ordered filed. <br />Mr. Levy informed the Board that certified checks which had accompanied bid bonds <br />of Korte Brothers.and the Hickey :Donstruction Company had been return by him. <br />CEMETERY DEPARTMENT: Mr. Stanley Les zczynski, Sexton, was present and matters pertain- <br />ing.to his department were discussed. <br />There being no further business to come,before the Board, the meeting was adjourned <br />at 10:00 A.M. <br />ATTEST: <br />Clerk <br />BADO PBLIC1V0 <br />Tt2EETING OCTQBER 25, 1943 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held on Monday, October 25, 1943 <br />at 9:00 A.Y.
