MEETING -- MARCH 8, 1943 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held on Monday.. March 8, 1943 at <br />9:00 A. M. Two members were present, Mr. Nathan Levy being absent. Minutes of the last <br />meeting were read and approved. Salary claims, in the amount of $7,164.03 were approved <br />and ordered paid. Meyer & Son, Inc. .40 <br />.60 St. Joseph Heating Co. 267.70 <br />12.50 <br />The following claims, to be paid out of Special 11I.P.A. fund or the Interceptor <br />Sewer N.P.A. fund, in the amount of $211.04 were approved and ordered paid. <br />I'STREET DEPARTMENT: Tony Etnudzinski, Commissioner was present and matters pertaining to <br />his department were discussed. <br />• (ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: The following resolution was published on March 5th and 12th, <br />Iiin the South Bend Tribune and the Mirror. <br />Notice is hereby given that the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana, will on the 22nd dsy of March, 1943 at 10:00 A. lrl. at its office in the City <br />Hall, hold a --meeting for the purpose of taking final action on Resolution No. 2516, <br />Assessment roll on the sidewalk, curb and oil bound gravel roadway on Medowlane. <br />The following letter was received from Esta and Gertrude M. Oren. <br />i. <br />"Board of Public Works, <br />South Bend, Ind. <br />ii <br />�I We are the owners of Lot 22 Roseland Park Add. and this is to authorize you to <br />! fill in on the low spot at rear of this lot." i <br />�I <br />�TVIr. Clyde'Williams, City Civil Engineer investigated and found this lot to be owned by <br />I1Esta and Gertrude M. Oren, and has authorized -the Street Department to use this lot as <br />Ja dump, until such time as the low spots are filled in. This lot, -.,is located at #1833 <br />E . Randolph St, <br />hA letter was received from Catherine Brewer, #846 Vermont Pl. asking that a bus � <br />r terminal be erected at Sheridan and Sample Streets. This letter was referred to the, <br />(Northern Indiana Transit Co., for attention. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting adjourned <br />tat 10:00 A.
