<br />ing to his department were discussed.
<br />ENGINEERING DEBARTIIENT: This being the date set., hearing was held on the assessment roll
<br />showing the award of damages and the assessment of benefits in the matter of vacation of
<br />court adjacent to Lot #382 Ford's Subdivision of part of 2d plat of Riverdale.
<br />In.theabove assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrances
<br />,rrere filed, the Clerk of the Board submitted proofs of publication of notices and same
<br />were found sufficient, and the Board, therefore, finds that the several lots and parcels
<br />of land have been benefitted and damaged in the amounts shown on said roll. The Board,
<br />therefore, decides to take action on said assessment roll, and declares same in all
<br />things,_ ratified, confirmed and approved withcut modification and the proceedings closed
<br />and the -alley vacated upon receipt of the amount of benefit assessments from the various
<br />property owners so benefitted, and all proceedings had with reference to said alley,
<br />vacation are hereby sustained.
<br />U Mr. Clyde E. Williams, City Engineer, filed primary assessment roll showing awards
<br />and gamages and assessments of benefits in the matter of the vacation of the alley south
<br />of Tasher txvenue from alley west of TFichiVan Street to Fain Street.
<br />The assessment roll and other records pertaining to this vacation are on file in the
<br />Board of Public '"Forks and Safety office, in Vacation Jacket �2518.
<br />In the above named assessrient roll, the Board 1Zereby orders that it will meet in
<br />the City Hall at 10:00 A. I',i. cn the 9th day of Noven-ber, 1942 for the purpose of hearing
<br />and receiving remonstrances from all persons interested In or affected by said Vacation
<br />Resolution 2518, and the Board further orders that notice of said hearing, together
<br />with the an.ount of damages awarded and benefits assessed be addressed to the property
<br />owners by publishing same on October 23rd and October 30th, 1942 in the South Bend daily
<br />Tribune and the weekly Mirror.

<br />and damages and assessment of benefits in the matter of the vacation of the alley south
<br />of Jennings Avenue from the alley west of ISichi-fan Street to ;.ain Street.
<br />The assessment roll and other recorc_s pertaininv to this vacation are on file in the
<br />Board of Public s"works and Safety office, in Vacation Jacket #2519
<br />in the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that it will meet in
<br />the City. Hall at 10:00 A. V.. on the 9th day of November, 1942, for the purpose of hearing
<br />and receiving remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected by said Vacation
<br />Resolution #2919, and the Board further orders that notice of said hearing, together
<br />with the amount of dcmases ai,,arded and benefits assessed be addressed to the property
<br />owners by publishing same on October 23rd and 30th, 1942 in the South Bend Tribune and
<br />the weekly Mirror.
<br />The Board approved contractor's bonds for Peter Schumaker & Sons, Bernard D. Johnson
<br />Everett Stauch and Charles Auln. These bonds were ordered filed.
