MEETING -- SEPTE211BER 21, 1942 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held on Monday, September 21, <br />1942 at 9:00 A. Y. Two members were present, Mr. Nathan Levy being absent. Ray Walker, President of the <br />River, ark Civic Assn. regarding the unpaved section of Mishawaka Avenye. This letter <br />was turned over to the Engineering Department for investigation and report. <br />Mr. Clyde E. '7Jilli ams, City Engineer, filed primary assessment roll showing awards <br />and damages and assessments of benefits in the matter of the vacation of the court <br />adjacent to Lot #382 Fordts Subdivision of part of 2d plat of Riverdale. <br />. I( The assessment roll and other records pertaining to this vacation are on file in <br />the Board of Public `forks and Safety office, in Vacation Jacket #25117. <br />In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that it will meet in <br />the City Hall at 10:00 A. M. on the 19th day of October, 1942 for the purpose of hearing <br />�j and receiving remonstrances from all persons insterested in or affected by said Vacation <br />( Resolution #2517, and the Board further orders that.notice of said hearing, together <br />i with the amount of damages awarded and benefits assessed be addressed to the property <br />11 owners by publishing same on October 2nd and October 9th, 1942 in the South Bend Tribune <br />ji and the weekly Mirror. <br />• <br />0 <br />The Board approved the plans for the relocation of the front door of the Hookts <br />Drug Store at #113 South Michigan St. <br />The Board approved the plans for the driveways on the property at the northeast <br />corner of Marion and Michigan Streets. <br />Excavation bonds were received for Charles A. Mahan and Goheen Plumbing and Heating <br />Co. A contractorts bond was received for the Belleville Lumber and Supply Co. These <br />bonds,were approved and ordered filed. <br />CEP;IENTER DEPARTT,IENT: Lisle McNabb, Sexton filed his financial report for the month of <br />August, 1942. <br />TRAFFIC DIVISION: A letter ,,Jas received from Dorothy Parker, #604 IIV. Marion Street, reg �r <br />regarding the matter of late busses. This letter was turned over to the Northern Indian <br />Transit Co. <br />• e ,: e c N. T T <br />ELECTRIC DE t�RT�: NT. A letter was received from J. I�. �,_c arthy, asking that a street <br />light in the rear of 1211 Stanfield Street be turned on.
