39 <br />MEETING -- XGUMMM 24, 1941 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public '♦forks was held on Monday, November 24, 1941 <br />at 9:00 A. M. All members were present. This <br />petition was turned <br />lover to the Engineering <br />Department. <br />The Board approved <br />the plans for grade and -Pavement on Winding''Nood <br />Drive as present <br />�ed by,the Engineering Department. <br />Mr. Clyde E. Williams, City Engineer, <br />filed primary assessment <br />roll, showing awards <br />and damages and assessment <br />of benefits in the matter of the vacation <br />of alley North of <br />�i Bowman Street from Main <br />Street to the West <br />line of the alley east of <br />Yalain Street. <br />The assessment roll and other records pertaining to this vacation are on file in the <br />• IIBoard of Public Works and Safety office in Vacation Jacket #2510. <br />I <br />I In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that it will meet in <br />the City Hall at 10:00 A. M., on the 15th day of December, 1941, for the purpose of <br />11hearing and receiving remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected by said <br />Vacation Resolution #2510, and the Board further orders that notice of said hearing, <br />!; together Leith the amount of damages awarded and benefits assessed be addressed to the <br />`property owners by publishing same on November 28 and December 5, 1941, in the South .Bend <br />Tribune and the weekly Mirror, <br />Mr. Harr Richwine and Mr. Howard Noble of the National Guard Armor Board met with <br />i y y <br />.the Board to discuss the matter of leasing land belonging to the City, adjacent to the <br />• ♦Armory on South Eddy Street. <br />;i <br />iELECTRIC DEPARTTiIENT: A petition was received asking that Boulevard lights be installed <br />Ion Oakside Street from Miami Street to Carroll Street. This petition was turned over to <br />j i`.�r. Qualls for investigatlon and report. <br />A petition was received asking for a street light on Adams Street between Humbolt <br />(Street and Elwood Avenue. This petition was turned over to Mr. Qualls for investigation <br />land report. <br />• <br />A letter was received from Francis Jones, requesting that a street light be install <br />ed at E. Washington Street and Esther Street, and Twyckenham Blvd., and Esther Street. <br />This letter was turned over to Mr. Qualls for investigation and report. <br />Mr. Qualls reported that the light at Main and Tasher Street had been ordered in. <br />Mr. Drips turned over $15.00 received for the sale of a 1936 Studebaker Coupe. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting adjourned at <br />10:30 A.
