31 <br />MEETING -- SEPTEMBER 29, 1941 <br />.0 <br />0 <br />• <br />• <br />6,-7 <br />VACATION OF ALLEY #2510 <br />RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF r_`UBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: That it <br />is' desirable to vacate the following;, <br />ALLEY WEST OF FRANKLIN STREET, from Indiana Avenue to the alley North of Indiana <br />Avenue. <br />The following property may be injuriously or beneficially effected by such vacation: <br />Lots 1, 2, 4, & 5 Stullts 4th Addition. <br />Notice of this resolution shall be published on the loth day of October and on the <br />17th day of October, 1941, in the South Bend Daily Tribune and the weekly Mirror. <br />This Board at its office in the City Hall on the 3rd day of November, 1941 at 10:00 <br />A. M. will hear and receive remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected by <br />these proceedings. <br />Adopted this 29th day of September, 1941. <br />ATTEST: <br />CLYDE E. The Board approved of the construction of a canopy to this building that <br />extendsone (1) foot from the face of the building at a point nine (9) feet above grade. <br />The building face is approximately three (3) inches back of the building line, making <br />the encroachment approximately 9tt. These plans were submitted by the Roseland Construc- <br />tion Co. <br />ELECTRIC DEPARTMENT: A petition was receivedasking for a street light at the intersec- <br />tion of Donald St., and Hoke St. also a petition for a street light at the intersection <br />of North Side Blvd. and 26th St. and a petition for two street lights on Evergreen.Lane. <br />These petitions were turned over to Mr. Qualls for investigation and report. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting adjourned <br />a=:. <br />t 10:30 A. M. <br />®II <br />(2 <br />MEETING -- OCTOBER 6, 1941 <br />M <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held on Monday, October 6, 1941, <br />at 9:00 A. M. All members were present. Minutes of the last meeting were read and . <br />approved. Claims of the following suppliers, in the amount of $274.55, were approved <br />and ordered paid. <br />City Water Works $ 2.63 Indiana Inst. Industries $45.14 <br />Indiana & Michigan Elec. La Fayette St., <br />and one at #813 S. <br />La Fayette St. <br />The <br />Board approved <br />two 301 driveways for Paults Bread Co., <br />on Brookfield <br />Street', <br />Lots #1 <br />and #17, Rupels <br />First Addition. <br />The Board rejected the claims of D. J. Kelly and Mrs. Chas. E. Hoose on S. Scott <br />t., for reseeding parkway, after the new sewer and pavement were finished. <br />Mr. John Kelly of the Pepsi Cola Co.. 710 Niles Ave., appeared before the Board, <br />sking that two men, dressed up as Pete"and Pepsi be allowed to walk on the streets. <br />Lie request was granted. <br />
