Councilmember Oliver Davis seconded the motion <br /> which carried by a voice vote of nine (9) ayes. <br /> SPECIAL BUSINESS <br /> BILL NO. <br /> 17-55 A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND <br /> COMMON COUNCIL HONORING STEEL <br /> WAREHOUSE FOR ITS LONG-TERM <br /> COMMITMENT TO THE COMMUNITY AND <br /> WISHING CONTINUED SUCCESS AS A <br /> VIABLE AND ONGOING BUSINESS <br /> Councilmember Dr. David Varner served as the presenter of this bill. Councilmember Dr. Varner <br /> read for the Council and public the text of the resolution. <br /> Ted Lerman, Vice President of Steel Warehouse, 1220 Ridgedale Road, South Bend, IN, stated <br /> that he accepts graciously, on behalf of his family and the employees of Steel Warehouse, the <br /> appreciation offered by the City and its Council. Mr. Lerman stated that he has a good team and <br /> that the community has always been gracious to them. Mr. Lerman stated, We love it here in <br /> South Bend. We hope we can continue to grow and add more employment here in town. <br /> 1 <br />
