Councilmember Karen White seconded the motion <br /> which carried by a voice vote of eight(8) ayes. <br /> SPECIAL BUSINESS <br /> BILL NO. <br /> 17-43 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br /> CELEBRATING SAINT JOSEPH HIGH <br /> SCHOOL'S CLASS 3A-STATE BASEBALL <br /> CHAMPIONSHIP <br /> Councilmember Tim Scott, 711 Forest Avenue, South Bend, IN, served as the presenter of this <br /> bill. Councilmember Scott read for the Council and public the text of the resolution. <br /> John Gumpf, Head Baseball Coach at St. Joseph High School,thanked the Council for honoring <br /> his team and thanked the members of his team for their work. Mr. Gumpf stated, The chemistry <br /> is what I think really did it for us. I think in the years that I've been at St. Joe, we've probably <br /> had better teams, but as a group this has definitely been the top, and they proved it. <br /> Councilmember Regina Williams-Preston stated, I just want say congratulations. As you know, <br /> what's happening here tonight is that this is going down in the records of the City of South Bend. <br /> 1 <br />
