NOTICE OF ADMINISTRATIVE APPEAL <br /> Eric A. Boyd 1240 W. Thomas St. South Bend, IN (Indiana Historical Landmark <br /> Brief Summery of Events <br /> 1.) Owner Applied for a roof permit from the Building Dept. and submitted Blue Prints <br /> with elevations. <br /> 2.) St. Joseph County Building Dept. accepted on behalf of HPC & issued roof Permit <br /> BD 15005044 <br /> 3.) Owner installed Roof under the direction of the Building Dept. <br /> 4.) HPC complained about the roof and Building Dept's actions. <br /> 5.) Owner was forced to file additional (HPC) COA's with suggestions of financial <br /> assistance that not materialized in over three years causing a hardship for the <br /> business owner. <br /> 6.) Owner's Structural Engineer Report disputes the findings of the HPC/Building dept. <br /> 7.) HPC's Alternates/solutions are not consistence with the practices under Ord.9495-04 <br /> 8.) HPC by way of the Building Dept has recently attempted to impose fines for <br /> structures that they permitted to be built. <br /> 9.) HPC's failed to follow administrative policies and procedures and produced <br /> misleading information. <br /> Owner is requesting relief from this HPC denial. Current denial imposes additional <br /> hardships, abuse of discretion based on HPC's failure to fulfill ordnance obligations as <br /> an administrative body. <br /> Respectfully Submitted: <br /> Fled in Clerk's office <br /> Eric A.
