Special Events=303 (not including presidential candidate visits, 2 snow emergencies, NDFB, and a flash <br /> flood). <br /> At least one officer attended every neighborhood meeting, school function, and special event (City <br /> hosted or not) in 2016. <br /> Police Athletic League had 618 kids in 2016, and 15 SBPD officers facilitating-including tutoring (w/ND <br /> student's help) <br /> *Walking Patrols= 2,054—School Walks= 1,632—Total=3,686* (*walking patrols DO NOT include HUD <br /> walking patrols-obviously even more to this#) <br /> Lab- Latent Prints processed= 606- Items of evidence processed=404-Total cases processed=3,239- <br /> Lab cases processed involving firearms=510. <br /> Firearms test fired=834 (302 were SBPD recoveries).Total ballistic items processed=4,346. <br /> Total Video/Photo-Processing/Fulfilling/Analyzing= 1,730 (pre state APRA law change). <br /> Uniform CST scenes processed= 1,402 (974 in 2015.Also, Off. Lupica will be published in the Journal of <br /> Forensic Identification in 2017!!). On top of all the scene processing,video/photo retrieval,search <br /> warrants, lab requests,firearms surrender collections, on-call with CMHU...The CST's also operate and <br /> enter into BrassTrax and Matchpoint! Then they find time to teach, and share with others, here and <br /> throughout the state (and other states) nearly 100 hours of their professional trade knowledge and <br /> secrets. <br /> Strategic Focus Unit(SFU) had 162 arrests, 54 drug arrests, 23 CIB apprehension, 107 SST follow-up <br /> investigations, 72 custom notifications, 26 recovered guns, 36 search warrants/permit, 2 enforcement <br /> actions (EA's, East Side/Evil Side and Southeast Side Factions) amounting to: 152 separate contacts/56 <br /> citations/17 impounds/57 arrests---51 Armadillo deployments, and 1,246 Nuisance Properties-80 <br /> nuisance property letters-15 designated nuisance properties (through compliance, finished 2016 at 6 <br /> properties), Gun Permits= 1,007 (up from 841 in 2015). <br /> K-9 deployments= 353 Narcotics via K-9=58+lbs. Marijuana, 80 grams Cocaine, 179.5 grams Heroin, 251 <br /> grams Meth, 6.8 grams Mushrooms. 64 additional K-9 demonstrations (417 total K-9 deployments/uses, <br /> and all dogs are NAPWDA certified).The K-9 Unit was also featured in a special story on WSBT. <br /> Training: 17,791.80 total training hours/14,773.05 hours on-site/3,508 hours off-site. 295 times <br /> (majority roll-call training out of 365 days in 2016)training was presented on shift and/or assignment <br /> hours. 104 applications handed out, 95 were returned and processed, 9 were never returned. <br />
