ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br /> INDIANA, APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR CERTAIN <br /> DEPARTMENTAL AND CITY SERVICES OPERATIONS IN 2017 OF $40,000 <br /> FROM PARKS FUND (#201), $200,000 FROM MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY <br /> FUND (4202), $100,000 FROM DCI OPERATING FUND (#211), $3,000 FROM GIFT, <br /> DONATION, BEQUEST FUND (#217), $125,000 FROM LOCAL ROADS & <br /> STREETS FUND (#251), $28,000 FROM INDIANA RIVER RESCUE FUND (#291), <br /> $285,000 FROM PARKS CAPITAL FUND (#405), $295,000 FROM MORRIS <br /> PERFORMING ARTS CENTER CAPITAL FUND (#416),AND $1,000 FROM <br /> ERSKINE VILLAGE BOND FUND (#758). <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br /> The Common Council passed the City's 2017 operating and capital budgets in <br /> 2016 (Ordinance#10457-16 passed on October 24, 2016)which included expenditures <br /> for various City operations. It is now necessary to appropriate additional funds for <br /> operational and capital expenditures necessary for the City to effect provision of services <br /> to its citizens which were not anticipated at the time the City budget was adopted. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of <br /> South Bend, Indiana, as follows: <br /> Section I. The following amounts are hereby appropriated in fiscal year 2017 and <br /> set apart within the following designated funds for expenditures as follows: <br /> Fund Amount <br /> Parks Fund(#201) $ 40,000 <br /> Motor Vehicle Highway Fund(#202) 200,000 <br /> DCI Operating Fund(#211) 100,000 <br /> Gift, Donation, Bequest Fund (#217) 3,000 <br /> Local Roads & Streets Fund (#251) 125,000 <br /> Indiana River Rescue Fund(#291) 28,000 <br /> Parks Capital Fund (#405) 285,000 <br /> Morris Performing Arts Center Capital Fund(#416) 295,000 <br /> Erskine Village Bond Fund(#758) 1,000 <br /> TOTAL 1,077A00 <br /> Section II.
