R E S O L U T I O N <br /> WHEREAS, UNITED NATIONS DAY is being celebrated <br /> on October 24, 1962, and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City of South Bend should fittingly <br /> note the significance of this day by proper recognition. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of <br /> South Bend, Indiana, by proclamation mark and designate <br /> October 24, 1962, as UNITED NATIONS DAY, <br /> AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Common Council <br /> of the City of South Bend, in regular meeting assembled this <br /> 22nd day of October, 1962, does hereby commend the United <br /> Nations Assembly for the important work it has done in the <br /> preservation of world peace and the promotion of the economic <br /> and cultural welfare of the people of the world. <br /> J.
