R E S O L U T I O N <br /> WHEREAS, MELVIN J. VOELKEL, formerly a member of the <br /> South Bend Police Force, and attached to the City Court for the <br /> past several years, has departed this life; and <br /> WHEREAS, he has served his community and his fallow-man <br /> in many ways to their benefit; that in addition to his activity <br /> in his official capacity, his work in philanthropy, lodges and <br /> clubs is known to all the citizens of our community and its <br /> environs. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, that the members thereof go on <br /> record expressing their sadness at the loss of "Jack"Voelkel <br /> and that a copy of this Resolution, duly authenticated by the City <br /> Clerk be spread upon the records of this Council, and a copy of same <br /> be sent to his widow, Beatrice Voelkel. <br /> DATED this 22nd day of July, 1963,.- '" <br /> C �� <br />
