t <br /> RESOLUTION 140. 67--64 <br /> A resolution of the Common Council of the South Bend, <br /> Indiana endorsing the establishing of a plan of action for <br /> the revitalization of the Downtown Area. <br /> Be it resolved that the Common Council of South Bend, <br /> Indiana realizes that an urgent need exists to construct a <br /> combination City-County building and to implement a general <br /> program for the Downtown Area. <br /> r <br /> Let it further be resolved both are an intriga1 part <br /> of the Downtown Area, the revitalization of which can be a <br /> very potent factor in increasing the economy and employment <br /> of the entire city and county. <br /> Let it further be resolved that it is imperative that <br /> our economy be continually strengthened at an early date; <br /> therefore we believe that a plan of action and priority <br /> schedule be implemented. . <br /> Letit further be resolved helping ourselves is vitally <br /> important. Co-operation between government, civic organizations <br /> and private enterprises is essential. It is with this thought <br /> in mind the Common Council of South Bend, Indiana subscribes <br /> to and urges everyone interested in total development of our <br /> City and County to endorse a plan of action for the next five <br /> years. <br /> er o the Common C uncil <br />
