South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting-December 4, 2009 <br />4. COMMUNICATIONS <br />There were no Communications. <br />5. OLD BUSINESS <br />There was no Old Business. <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />A. Public Nearing <br />(1) Public Hearing on Resolution No. 2614 <br />appropriating monies for the purpose of <br />defraying the expenses of certain local <br />public improvements for the fiscal year <br />beginning January 1, 2009 and ending <br />December 31, 2009, including all <br />outstanding claims and obligations, fixing <br />a time when the same shall take effect. <br />(Fund 425, Leighton Retail Space and <br />Courtyard and Wayne St Garage Retail) <br />Ms. Jennings noted that the purpose of the <br />appropriation is to move funds from the <br />capital budget line for the payment of <br />2008/pay2009 property taxes. The 2008 <br />property taxes were a little higher than <br />expected. Management is appealing the <br />taxes in order to reduce them in the future. <br />Mr. Inks noted that the Public Hearing file is <br />complete, containing a copy of Resolution <br />No. 2614 and affidavits from the South Bend <br />Tribune and Tri-County news that the Notice <br />of Hearing was published in those <br />newspapers on November 20, 2009. <br />Mr. Varner opened the public hearing for <br />whoever wished to speak regarding <br />Resolution No. 2614. There was no one who <br />wished to speak. Mr. Varner closed the <br />THERE WERE NO COMMUNICATIONS <br />THERE WAS NO OLD BUSINESS <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON RESOLUTION NO. 2614 <br />
