JUL 5 1967 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION OF THE PROVISIONS KATHRYN L. BLOUGH <br /> OF SECTION 23 OF THE UNITED STATES HOUSING ACT OF ��y CLERK, SOUTH BEND, IND, <br /> 1937, AS AMENDED, TO THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA - <br /> WHEREAS, under the provisions of Section 23 of the United States Housing Act <br /> of 1937, as amended, the Public Housing Administration is authorized to provide <br /> financial assistance to local public housing agencies in providing low-rent <br /> housing by leasing dwelling units in existing privately-owned structures; and <br /> WHEREAS, said Section 23 provides that the provisions thereof shall not <br /> apply to any locality unless the governing body of the locality has by <br /> resolution approved the application of such provisions to such locality. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br /> BEND, as follows: <br /> The application of the provisions of Section 23 of the United States Housing <br /> Act of 1937, as amended, to THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA is approved. <br /> moved that the foregoing resolution <br /> be adopted as introduced and read, which motion was seconded by <br /> and upon roll call the "ayes" and "nays" <br /> were as follows: <br /> AYES NAYS <br /> Member of the Common Council <br /> The Mayor thereupon declared said motion carried and said resolution adopted. <br /> rz 2nd READING <br /> MrrTEE OF THE WHOLE <br /> U3 HEARING <br /> READING <br /> APPROVED <br /> ERRED <br /> SED <br />
