- RESOLUTION <br /> No. 184-68 <br /> WHEREAS, the City of South Bend is the owner of the <br /> following described real estate, to-wit: <br /> Lot Numbered Twenty-six (26) Smith Homes <br /> Addition, recorded in Plat Book 19, page <br /> S in the Office of the Recorder of St. <br /> Joseph County, Indiana, <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend <br /> has found and declares the above-described real estate is no <br /> longer needed for City purposes, and that the said above- <br /> described real estate is required by the City of South Bend, <br /> Department of Redevelopment, for furtherance of the development <br /> of the Urban Renewal Plan for LaSalle Park Project Ind. R-57 <br /> for the development of low and moderate income housing, and <br /> to obtain a non-cash grant-in-aid toward said Project, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend <br /> deems it in the best interest of the City of South Bend to <br /> transfer and convey said real estate to the Department of <br /> Redevelopment for such purposes, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Common Council of the City of <br /> South Bend does hereby find and declare that the above- <br /> described real estate is no longer needed for City purposes <br /> and further finds and declares that the Department of Rede- <br /> velopment of the City of South Bend is coextensive with the <br /> territory of the City of South Bend, and that the above- <br /> described real estate should be conveyed and transferred <br /> to the City of South Bend for the use and benefit of its <br /> Department of Redevelopment. <br /> IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk <br /> of the City of South Bend are hereby authorized and directed <br /> to execute all necessary documents for the conveyance and <br /> transfer of the above-described real estate to the City of <br /> South Bend for the use and benefit of its Department of <br /> Redevelopment. <br /> Adopted this_2-Z-4, day of 1 1968 . <br /> Vjel=- President of the Common Council <br /> of the City of South Bend <br /> ATTEST: <br /> lat&2nd READfNG 41-,V'6 gN Clerk the City of SouthO Bend FILED IN CLERK'S OFFICE <br /> MMITTEE OF THE WHOLE 4 <br /> PUBLIC HEdRIN6 4-8-68 >`�� <br /> a 1968 <br /> 3rd READMIT KATHRYN L.
