What Use has the community made since the last submission of the data assembled throu;h the <br /> nei< orhood antil}ses to develop and carry out systematic programs for the elimination and pre- <br /> vention of slums and blight in any neighborhood". <br /> As previously mentioned, the Area Plan Commission has only recently comple- <br /> ted the City's first comprehensive Neighborhood Analyses Study. This study <br /> will be instrumentrl in developing and redirecting if necessary new programs <br /> for community development. A large portion of the information gathered and <br /> evaluated in the Neighborhood Analyses was found useful for preparing the <br /> local Model Cities Application. Preliminary analyses of neighborhood data <br /> assisted in expanding the local intensified code compliance program. <br /> E. Chat plans does the community have for the further use of such data in developing systematic <br /> pro-rams for the elimination and prevention of slums and blight in each neighborhood`' <br /> It is anticipated that future Urban Renewal and related communiiy rebuild- <br /> ing programs will be developed within the framework of the Neighborhood <br /> Analyses Study. Recommended neighborhood treatment as defined by the neigh- <br /> borhood analyses data will be applied to applicable neighborhoods. As evi- <br /> dent, the City will utilize the Neighborhood Analyses Study to maximize be- <br /> nefit from coordinated local and federally assisted programs for the purpose <br /> of eliminating and preventing spread of blight and deterioration. <br /> 14 <br />
