Describe the past year's work of the groups or committees established <br /> for continuing codes review. All codes are under continuous review by local trade <br /> associates and city departments. The Building Commissioner has held sever- <br /> al meetings with the Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Council for the purpose <br /> of updating the plumbing code. Similar meetings were held with the electri- <br /> cal contractors for the purpose of revising the city's electrical code. <br /> 1 Continuous meetings are being held with the Mayor's Advisory Committee on <br /> i Code Enforcement. It is noteworthy to mention that the City Building Com- <br /> j missioner is a member of the National Building Officials Conference and is <br /> 33 Chairman of the Materials Approval Committee. The Building Commissioner is <br /> a registered architect and a member by appointment of the Governor to the <br /> State Administrative Building Council. <br /> The City Council is currently in the process of adopting the BOCA Basic <br /> 4 <br /> Housing Code. <br />
