donation of the snow thrower RESOLUTION NO. 194-68 A RESOLUTION TO DONATE UNNEEDED PERSONAL PROPERTY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, TO THE BOARD OF AVIATION CCVIISSIONERS OF ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA 1!1HEM,S, it has been determined by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City- of South Bend, Indiana, that a certain 1942 Ford snow throwing vehicle is no longer needed and is unfit for the purpose for which it was intended, and the Board of Aviation Commissioners of St. Joseph County, Indiana, has requested such vehicle to use for parts to maintain a similar vehicle which they presently own and operate, and 111HEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend has deter- mined that the public interest and the interests of the City of South Bend will be served by donating said snow throwing vehicle to the Board of Aviation Commissioners of St. Joseph County, Indiana, and WHEREAS, Acts of 1945, Chapt. 190, Sec. 16, as amended, of the Ind. Gen. Assembly, permits a municipality to donate personal property to another municipality, which definition of a municipality does include an authority authorized to maintain and operate air ports.
