(Model Cities) <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 236-70 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SOUTH BEND, AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF A <br /> COMPREHENSIVE CITY DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM <br /> WHEREAS, the City of South Bend has prepared a comprehensive <br /> city demonstration program; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend finds <br /> that the program is necessary and desirable in order to improve the <br /> living conditions of people living in the model neighborhood; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend desires <br /> that the comprehensive city demonstration program be submitted to the <br /> Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (herein called the Secretary) <br /> for funding under Title I of the Demonstration Cities and Metropolitan <br /> Development Act of 1966. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Common Council of the <br /> City of South Bend, that: <br /> Section 1. The Mayor,Lloyd M. Allen, of the City of South <br /> Bend, Indiana, or his lawful successor is hereby authorized to submit <br /> to the Secretary the comprehensive city demonstration program and such <br /> supporting and collateral material as shall be necessary. <br /> Section 2.
