However, there was a dete - nination by the HUD Field Office <br />indicating that these properties were not eligible for the program. <br />Recently, after further conversation on this issue, there was a clarification of the <br />interpretation allowing these properties to be addressed. As a result staff was advised by the <br />HUD Field Office that an amendment to NSP would need to be developed/processed due to the <br />dollar amount being changed among activities. The amendment was the topic of a 30 day public <br />comment_period_that_ran_fi.om September _25, 2.0-09_to ®ctQber 27 , 2009 a he aling__ <br />held on October 22, 2009. <br />The amendment will result in: <br />(1) a net gain of 1 more property impacted by the NSP funding <br />(2) 5 Dollar Houses to be rehabbed and made available to the community <br />(3) the balance of the City allocated funds being held for those Dollar Houses, now in <br />NSP, to be returned to the City's general fund <br />Should there be any questions on this bill please contact me at 2355845. 1 will be <br />present to address this issue at the December 14, 2009 meeting.
