RESOLUTION NO. 287-71 <br /> A RESOLUTION FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION <br /> TO ACCOUNT NO. 21451 "TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH" , <br /> IN THE HUMAN RELATIONS AND FAIR EMPLOYMENT <br /> PRACTICES COMMISSION IN THE AMOUNT OF $163 . 50 <br /> AND THE TRANSFER OF SAME FROM ACCOUNT NO . 211, <br /> "FREIGHT, EXPRESS AND DRAYAGE" , AND ACCOUNT <br /> NO. 241, "PRINTING, OTHER THAN OFFICE SUPPLIES" , <br /> ALL ACCOUNTS BEING WITHIN THE SAME CATEGORY AND <br /> WITHIN THE HUMAN RELATIONS AND FAIR EMPLOYMENT <br /> PRACTICES COMMISSION FUND. <br /> WHEREAS , certain extraordinary conditions have developed <br /> since the adoption of the existing annual budget , so that it is now <br /> necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the <br /> annual budget for the various functions of City Government to meet <br /> such extraordinary conditions ; and <br /> WHEREAS, additional funds are needed by the Human Relations <br /> and Fair Employment Practices Commission to provide for the continu- <br /> ation of the "rumor control phone" now located in the Human Relations ' <br /> office and to assure the department ' s ability to properly perform its <br /> functions ; and <br /> WHEREAS, a surplus exists in other accounts where it is not <br /> presently needed and more specifically as follows , to-wit : <br /> a. Account No . 211, "Freight, Express & Drayage" $100 .00 <br /> b . Account No . 241 , "Printing, Other Than <br /> Office Supplies" 63. 50 <br /> $163 . 50 <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the <br /> City of South Bend, Indiana: <br /> SECTION I .
